{girl on the ave} is a curious 20something from singapore presently studying in los angeles. she is inspired by beautiful things and places, and loves sniffing out the new, fabulous, and quirky. nothing thrills her more than the written word through evocative, poignant and thoughtfully crafted articles. other random things she’s passionate about – fashion, food, décor, travel, engaging conversations over coffee, chasing sunsets, strolls along the beach, daydreaming in cafes over flat whites, and experimenting with new recipes.

I am a writer myself and when I chanced upon your blog, I could instantly connect with quite a number of the things you write about. I also love your pictures !:)

I used to be a travel writer but have now branched into other forms of writing. Writing was my hobby, but is now my bread and butter (is that a blessing or a curse? )

  thanks lynne! wow a travel writer, that’s what i aspire to be:) it must have been really awesome. i think it’s more a blessing to do what you love rather than a curse (e.g. like being paid really late/not getting paid at all!). hmmm my assignments typically revolve around fashion/beauty/corporate, so its quite diverse.
