there’s been lots of positive buzz about carmela ice-cream but it’s been another of those things that i’ve been putting off. now that’s been crossed off my to-eat list (yes it exists in an excel spreadsheet) after i picked up two cups at the hollywood farmer’s market yesterday, joining the flock of people patiently waiting for their carmela. handmade artisan ice-cream churned out from seasonal, farmer’s market produce and organic dairy. it strikes an exquisite balance between light and creamy, and the flavors, oh the flavors are pure delight. was in meyer lemon heaven as i polished off the first cup on my way out of the market.
i’m getting the tubs next time.
