this weekend post is a little overdue, but it’s never too late to share the good times especially when it’s officially freezing by LA standards. sunday started off with a visit to the brentwood country mart for brunch at farmshop - their french toast and the crispiest bacon is a favorite.
also made stops at cafe luxxe for a cup of their rich and aromatic latte and sweet rose creamery for a scoop of orange coriander with candied orange and toasted almonds ice-cream – just one of their many intriguing seasonal flavors that change daily, so you’ll be sure to find something new with each visit. popped by the petting zoo in the carpark where there were llamas alongside piglets, puppies, ponies and sheep – was somewhat amused by the whole set-up but whatever appeals to the kids.
in the PM, braved the mayhem that is the barney’s warehouse sale – too many shoes strewn everywhere, eagle-eyed women circling each other waiting to swoop in on rejected goods, spotted lots of lanvin and these gorgeous giuseppe zanotti bejewelled booties that were probably the most beautiful shoes on sale. left feeling a little lightheaded from the madness, the wallet a little lighter.
and finally, because it felt like spring, slipped on a beloved floral frock befitting a sun-drenched day.

Aww…it sure does feel like Spring with that floral frock! Wished we have better weather here in Geneva so that my whimsical stuff can come out and play. And Barney’s warehouse sale? That must be awesome too!
hey joanne! hehe on my part i’ve been reading about your snowboarding adventures with envy. barney’s warehouse sale is pretty awesome (esp so if u are size 9 and up) but lots of chunky shoes/dangerous heels…waiting for them to restock the shelves and swoop in again over the weekend before it ends!
