comfort food that’s classic, fresh and doesn’t leave you in a food coma is pretty much an apt description of the fare at simplethings sandwich and pie shop. one of those places that i’ve been putting off for way too long and everything about it is straightforward (hence its name) and downright delicious. the free-range chicken pot pie fills you up just nicely so that you have ample room to fit in one of their mini pies, in which case the salted caramel is too tempting to pass up. most worthy of a re-visit to check out their other goodies (read: too many pie flavors to power through).
