lunched at sun with moon today – we ordered the set lunches and sampled a green tea sponge cake with custard cream and strawberries, a new dessert for spring. it sounds delectable and it sure is, but i wish i wasn’t so stuffed so i coulda enjoyed it more.

seeing quite a bit of fabric flowers around right now…i’m really liking this one for its tones of soft caramel and champagne gold. its manages to be both an ethereal piece and a quirky statement-making one.

whenever there’s a box of these tarts at home, they are devoured at an alarming rate.  and with good reason too. served chilled, it’s the ideal snack to pop when it’s hot out, doesn’t leave a crumbly flaky mess and goes down easy in all its silky smooth glory.
